10 Things to Remember in Small Claims Court

10 Things I have Learned in Small Claims Court and its not from Judge Judy.

1. Leave your attitude, anger at home.
2. Come dressed appropriately, no flip flops, shorts or torn T-Shirts.
3. Be Prepared, Be Organized.
4. Be Factual not Emotional.
5. Compromise, its not about Right or Wrong.
6. Be willing to Listen and Mediate.
7. Make it a “Win Win”. What is the value of a judgment?, Its often a piece of paper.
8. Show Respect.
9. Show Up On Time.
10. Find The Silver Lining in your conflict. Where a Smile.
